Recently, a unique celebration took place at Matunuck Elementary School. This was not just any usual day, but the 100th day of the school year, marked by laughter, creativity, learning, and giving, all wrapped up in one unforgettable event.
Students arrived at school dressed up as old men and women, bringing a playful twist on aging to the day's events. The hallways were filled with laughter as they hobbled around with canes and walkers, their faces adorned with glasses and makeup to enhance their 'old' appearances.
The special day's theme was centered around the number 100, a number boasting its own significance in various contexts. To further explore this, the students engaged in a variety of activities where 100 was the star. Each activity underlined the importance of this number. These exercises promoted learning and added an extra layer of significance to the day.
Among the highlights was an incredible domino display in the hallway, created entirely out of cereal boxes. The fall of the dominoes was not just a spectacle to watch but a testament to the students' hard work leading up to the 100th day.

After the domino display, all the cereal boxes were collected and donated to the Jonnycake Center in Wakefield.
